Just like other devices on your computer, speakers need drivers. Well, installing system speaker drivers for Windows operating systems is the same as locating other drivers and installing them. Many sound cards released recently do not have immediate Widows support, so in many cases, we have to find those drivers directly from the manufacturer’s website. Most of the drivers can be found and some of them cannot. After these drivers are installed, normal sound card operation can resume. Here are the steps to fix the drivers.
Method A:
Click on the “Start” key at the lower right of the screen.
Click on “Sounds, Speech and Audio Devices.”
Click on “Sounds and Audio Devices.” Click on the “Hardware” tab.
Click on the name of the sound card. Click on “Properties,” then “Driver.” Click on “Update Driver” to start the Windows search for driver updates.
Click “Start,” and “Run” in the Start menu. Type “dxdiag” in the Run menu field, and click “OK.” This begins the process of searching for the name of the sound card and speaker drivers, if they are not known, and Windows cannot automatically update internally.
Click the “Sound” tab in the small window that opens. Examine the “Device” header. Underneath that, look at the “Name” entry. Under “Driver,” look for Provider.
Visit the sound card manufacturer’s website, and download the appropriate drivers for the sound card.
