When playing 3D games, we may notice instabilities or errors. Why is this happening? Has the computer been attacked by virus? No, it is caused by the malfunction of your video display. You may need to update your video display, or graphics card drivers. Unlike changing other hardware such as the BIOS, updating drivers for your graphics card is performed within the operating system and is easy to operate.
Method A:
Click “Start” and select “Run.” Type “dxdiag” and click “OK.”
If you’re using Windows Vista or Windows 7, press the “Windows” key and “R” simultaneously to open the Run command. Then type “dxdiag” and click “OK.”
Click the “Display” tab and browse to the Device section. Your graphics card manufacturer and model will be displayed.
Search your motherboard manufacturer and the word “drivers” on your browser. The top link will usually be your motherboard manufacturer’s drivers and software page. Open this Web page.
Find the drivers for your graphics card. Manufacturers that make multiple types of components will split their drivers into categories for component type, graphics card type and model number. Select your operating system.
Click “Search” or “Display Results.”
Click “Download” next to the most recent “Display Drivers” or “Display Drivers and Software.”
Double click the downloaded drivers. These will be stored in your Web browser’s default download location unless you specified otherwise.
Follow the instructions and reboot your computer when prompted.
Method B:
